If you're thinking of joining the Metalheads, you can message us on our Facebook, Twitter or Instagram pages, or alternatively, enter your details and we'll respond as soon as possible...
Can I really just turn up?
Sure. As long as we're training that day, of course! One of our coaches will be there to greet you and let you know anything important, and if appropriate, get you involved in the training session.
How old do I need to be to play?
As long as you're at least 16, you can train and play with the Metalheads.
What do I need to bring with me?
You'll need clothes appropriate for playing baseball in, including footwear. Remember, you might be sliding on the ground, so please take that into consideration.
Do I need my own equipment?
You're welcome to bring any equipment you have, but we will have shared gloves, bats and batting helmets to be used as necessary.
When do you train and play?
Usually, we train one night a week and train or play on one day at weekends. You can find out exactly when by contacting us through social media or the form above.
Where do you train and play?
During the warmer months, we train and play our home games at our field in Marston Green. You can see more here. There is parking available. During the winter months, we occasionally hold indoor training sessions. We'll let you know exactly where on our social media pages.
I've never played before. Does that matter?
Absolutely not! Whether you're already an all-star, or you've never even picked up a baseball before, you're welcome at the Metalheads. Our coaches will ensure everybody leaves a little better than when they arrived.
Does it cost much to play for the Metalheads?
Like almost every amateur sports team, we do charge an annual subscription fee to train and play. This covers our obligations for facility hire, league membership, replacing equipment, etc. We'll make you aware of any fees required well ahead of time. Additionally, there may be a small fee for indoor training sessions, although this will be kept to a minimum.
